Great article Subbu. Many things in this article resonate with my experiences and personal compass as well. For starters, I do not believe in ARF’s and have in fact suggested we kill them a while back. I believe in an Idea Meritocracy (where the best idea wins) and for that to happen everyones opinion matters equally and must be considered. That requires open communication, it requires asking questions, receiving questions, and not becoming defensive to an open dialogue we can all benefit from collectively. I have always started from the approach that I can be and often am wrong. I seek to understand, I seek to learn, this should be everyones goal. Without dragging this comment on and restating many of the principles you have outlined. It suffices to say I agree, solid article and I hope ARF’s die in favor of a tradeoff for collective communication and healthy cultures with idea meritocracies.
